UCAC has published a report on Workload Issues which is based on the results of UCAC's Survey, July 2014, and the feedback of members during UCAC's road show throughout Wales during the Autumn term 2014.

UCAC is balloting members for industrial action in the Further Education sector and is working with other members of the Joint Trade Unions in Further Education Group to organise ballots at the same time.

UCAC's Workload Roadshow: Update
UCAC's Workload Roadshow has already visited a number of counties with meetings taking place this week in south Gwynedd, Pembrokeshire, Neath Port Talbot, Swansea, Denbighshire, Cardiff, Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly and Cardiff. The numbers attending the meetings have confirmed the strong feelings that our members have had enough of the intense workload thrust upon them.

Replacing the banding system with a new school categorisation model
On September 24th UCAC, along with other unions met with representatives of the Department of Education and Skills to receive an overview of the move from banding schools to a system of national categorisation.
