UCAC's Annual Conference: 4-5 April

Members of UCAC education union are calling on the Welsh Government to ensure that they receive sufficient notice of substantial changes to the education system, and adequate training to support the changes. That is the substance of one of the motions that will be debated at the union’s Annual Conference in Mold on 4-5 April.

Elaine Edwards, UCAC’s General Secretary said “UCAC members will debate motions on a range of issues that they feel strongly about. We’ll be welcoming a number of guest speakers including Owen Evans, Director General of the Welsh Government’s Department for Education and Skills.

“The Annual Conference gives members an opportunity to express their feelings about current developments in the world of education in Wales, and to set the union’s campaigning agenda for the year ahead.

“In addition, it gives people the opportunity to relax, socialise and meet colleagues from across Wales.”
